The basis of our design is inspired by the footwear used since the Ottoman empire, when people used to cross the desert with a pair of shoes.

Handmade shoe techniques have evolved over the years. After the Ottoman Empire, this knowledge was only found with the artisans of Turkey. They revived the traditional design of footwear and their knowledge began to spread throughout Europe and Asia.

Evolution

Inspired by the traditions of the hand-made shoe, and considering the new knowledge in health care, Denels brings new design shoes with a variation of colors and sizes.

One of our innovations is that we added a small piece of copper in the sole of the shoes. This material enables the feet to engage in earthing, or grounding, which is considered to be one of the most foundational health practices.
